The Pittsburgh Steelers may have lost their primary chance at home field advantage throughout the playoffs last week to the New England Patriots, but their regular season is far from over. They have to win out to ensure that they will be the AFC’s No. 2 seed and earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs, and to do that, they’ll need to beat the Houston Texans.
NFL [Week-16] Game
Texans vs Steelers Live Stream
Date : MONDAY, DEC 25,2017
That game will take place on Monday, Christmas Day, and it will be played on NBC. Kickoff is at 4:30 EST, an unusual time for a Monday game, but necessary to accommodate the second Christmas game. Mike Tirico, Kurt Warner and Heather Cox will be on the call on television, while Kevin Kugler, Dan Fouts and Laura Okmin will have the national radio broadcast on Westwood One. Sirius and XM channel 81 will have the game with the local Pittsburgh announcers, but there will be no streaming option as the game is going to be nationally televised.
The NFL envisioned this game with much higher stakes when they scheduled it earlier in the season. If Deshaun Watson were playing, this might be one of the best games of the season with major playoff implications. But T.J. Yates is slated to play quarterback for the Texans, putting the Steelers at a major advantage at the most important position.
But the Steelers have to take the Texans seriously. They have a tendency to overlook opponents, and that would be devastating against the Texans with so much still on the line for them. Antonio Brown is out, and the team needs to get over what happened against the Patriots and focus on the team in front of them.
If they can do that, then winning this game will be simple enough. If not? The Steelers could lose some serious playoff positioning.
